Welcome to the Artistic World of Steffie Hornig
Born in Germany and now living in Switzerland, where I run a stable with my partner, my life has always revolved around two great passions: horses and art. From the some of the most famous stables of Germany and Belgium to the scenic landscapes of Switzerland, my journey with these magnificent creatures has been as vibrant and dynamic as my art.
An avid showjumper and breeder, I’ve spent my life alongside horses, understanding their personalities, grace, and strength. Simultaneously, my love for art has been a constant companion, evolving from playful sketches to profound expressions on canvas.
Combining these lifelong passions was a natural progression for me. Through my paintings, I strive to capture not just the likeness, but the very essence of these majestic animals. Every stroke of my brush is an homage to the unique spirit of each horse I have the privilege of knowing and painting.
THE COMMISSION PROCESS OF YOUR DREAM PAINTING
1. Initial Consultation
- Contact: Clients can reach out through a call, direct conversation, or by filling out a form on the website. This is where we discuss their vision, preferences, and any specific requests for their horse’s portrait.
2. Concept Sketch
- Preview: Based on our initial consultation, I create a preliminary sketch of the artwork. This sketch serves as a visual starting point to ensure that the client’s vision is accurately captured.
- Feedback and Approval: Clients can review the sketch and suggest any modifications. Once approved, I proceed to the next stage.
3. Artwork Creation
- Progress Updates: As I bring the sketch to life, I regularly update clients with the progress. This ensures that they are involved in the journey of their horse’s portrait from concept to completion.
- Incorporating Feedback: Client input is welcomed throughout this stage, ensuring the final piece perfectly aligns with their expectations.
4. Delivery
- Final Piece: Upon completion, the artwork is either sent or personally delivered to the client. I ensure that every detail is perfect, from the quality of the painting to its presentation.
